“A well attended meeting was held in the Rockhampton Girl’s Grammar school new library on the 17th /02/2010. Many thanks to Trudy Hamilton for the library tour and hosting the meeting.

Office bearers were elected for 2010 Lenore Olive is President. Linda Nicholson Treasurer. Therese Higgins Secretary. Mark Mitchell SLAQ Councillor.

It is great to see Lenore continuing in her very experienced role as President of CAPSLAQ and many thanks to Linda Nicholson continuing in her library leadership role as Treasurer. Many thanks were also extended to past office bearer Jenny Franke in her role as past treasurer.

Productive information sharing ranged on the use of interactive white boards and the Promethean database, the coming local E - learning and Reluctant Readers conference, implications arising from the Co-Curricular Licence, various retailers supporting non metropolitan schools.

Congratulations are extended to Jan Barnett and her great workers in the Mackay SLAQ group for organising the Guided Inquiry workshop on the 20th March 2010 and please accept my personal heartfelt apologies for being unable to take a car of very keen Rockhamptonites to the workshop. Health issues on my part – sorry. CAPSLAQ is looking forward to another busy year. Much discussion also occurred on the IASL/ SLAQ world conference. Many thanks to the SLAQ members working to bring a world class professional development session to Queensland.”
