Library Webs present an online educational learning tool providing an Internet Library approximately 50,000 carefully selected links. The resources are arranged in subject order with individual topics divided into sections. Users can search the database by keyword search or advanced search, by browsing the topic list, or by going straight into the subject categories. Topics have been chosen to relate directly to curricula and assignments in Australian secondary schools and colleges.
Teacher-Librarians using Library Webs will not have to spend hours searching for sites and creating webpages. By subscribing to Library Webs Teacher-Librarians will have more time to do what they do best – assisting students and teachers to find the right information at the right time.
Library Webs resources can be used as a support to study units or as the central focus to a unit of work. Because of the division of each topic into sections, Library Webs provide a unique set of resources for group work, and offer a scaffolding tool for in-depth study.
Students using Library Webs have immediate access to authorative Internet resources and are able to stay focused on their learning outcomes, without the distraction of all the extraneous material which clutters up the Internet.

Penguin Group Australia was established in a tin shed in South Melbourne, Victoria in 1946. For many years it was simply a distribution branch of Penguin UK. The first Australian Penguin titles - To the Islands by Randolph Stow, Kangaroo Tales, edited by Rosemary Wighton and Three Australian Plays edited by Alan Seymour - were published in 1963. The late 50s and early 60s saw publication of writers such as Martin Boyd, Randolph Stow and Joan Lindsay, whose Picnic at Hanging Rock was eventually made into a successful film and remains one of Penguin Australia's bestselling titles, while Donald Horne's The Lucky Country brought a new phrase into the language. From a tiny tin shed in 1946 Penguin Australia has grown into an established and influential publishing company. Today Penguin is home to some of Australia’s bestselling and award-winning writers and illustrators: Maggie Alderson, Stephanie Alexander, Pamela Allen, Graeme Base, Geoffrey Blainey, Isobelle Carmody, Kaz Cooke, Bryce Courtenay, Robert Drewe, Nick Earls, Mem Fox, Morris Gleitzman, Sonya Hartnett, Ian Irvine, Paul Jennings, Kylie Kwong, Michael Leunig, Melina Marchetta, Monica McInerney and Rachael Treasure are household names.
