Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast by the river and an inspirational start to the day with local talent Natalie Jane Prior whose books have won the Aurealis Award (for fantasy and science fiction), the Davitt Awards (for crime writing) and become Notable and Honour Books in the Children's Book Council of Australia Awards. Her work includes the classic picture book The Paw and its sequels (illustrated by Terry Denton), and the internationally successful fantasy series Lily Quench, which has well over half a million copies in print, and which was broadcast on BBC Radio in 2006.
By September the first book in her major new series of junior novels called The Minivers will be ready for release. This four book series will appeal to readers of the Lily Quench series or slightly older, and combines modern fantasy and high-octane adventure, with a real emotional punch. The first book (The Minivers on the Run) will be launched by Judith Russell at our literary breakfast.
Seats are limited. Cost is $33.00 (includes GST) per person.
